BULLHEAD CITY - After 15 years of traveling to Las Vegas for shopping sprees, mother-and-daughter duo Mariana Huseman and Alessia Conzachi decided enough is enough. They opened a high-end women's fashion shop LeZaria in Colorado Place.

“We've been here for 15 years and there is nowhere to shop in town (for higher-end clothing),” Huseman. “We decided we needed some place local to shop. Something more trendy, more fun.”

Huseman, who owns Rainbow Tile and Carpet in Fort Mojave with her husband Rick, had been discussing opening the store for a while.

“One day we just decided that it's something we really wanted to do so we went for it,” Huseman said.

The store features some name brand clothing like XOXO and Miss Me (the only authorized dealer of Miss Me in the Tri-state), along with other brands that aren't quite so pricey, but still reach their standards of trendy.

“We are considering bringing in other brands,” Huseman said. “Something not quite so pricey. Not name brand high-end merchandise, but a little of everything.”

Currently Huseman and Conzachi attend a twice-yearly convention in Las Vegas to view new fashions and do their purchasing.

“MAGIC is a major purchasing event that we go to in Las Vegas,” Huseman said. “It's a huge distribution and sales show for all the fashion industry.”

LeZaria, which has been open since the end of April, also has handbags, wallets and jewelry accessories, and is considering selling shoes as well.

“So far we've had a lot of great comments,” Huseman said. “People love the store. The minute they walk in, they're like ‘Wow'.”

“The store really targets a kind of trendy, more stylish look,” Conzachi said. “More of a fashion-conscious group. In California, the 50-year-old woman is the new 30, and the 40 is the new 20, so we're trying to bring that here.”

LeZaria's winter stuff is arriving now and should be hitting the racks next month. LeZaria is located in unit 107 of Colorado Place at 2580 Highway 95 in Bullhead City, and is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Call Mariana or Alessia at 928-758-6744 for more information.

For what will you best remember pop icon Michael Jackson?
His music. From the Jackson Five to a solo career to collaborating with nearly every major star, he did it all.
His dancing. He put so much energy and creativity into his performances.
His showmanship. Glitzy costumes, pyro-technics and cutting edge ideas all were a part of his persona.
His weirdness. He was talented for sure, but he also was strange.
