LAUGHLIN — Anyone intending to vote in the primary and general elections needs to be sure to register or have their information updated. There are several opportunities to do so in Laughlin through May 11.
Voters will have additional opportunities to register to vote online through the Secretary of State’s website through May 24. Visit http://nvsos.gov/sos/elections/voters/registering-to-vote.
Laughlin will be given two early voting days but those are to be announced. The primary election is June 12 and the general election will be Nov. 6.
The last day to register to vote for the primary election in Laughlin is Friday, May 11. All times listed are PST.
The American Legion Richard Springston Post 60, 1510 Bruce Woodbury Dr., will hold voter registration on Tuesdays, Feb. 20 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Voters can go to the Laughlin Professional Plaza, 3650 South Pointe Cir., on Wednesdays, March 7, 21 and 28 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Aldape’s Market Place will hold voter registration on Thursdays, April 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 3 to 8 p.m.
Additional opportunities to vote for the primary election will be at the Laughlin Library, 2840 Needles Highway, on Friday, May 4, Saturday, May 5 and Friday, May 11. Registration will be available from open to close on May 4 and 5 and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 11.
If anyone misses registering to vote for the primary, there are several other opportunities to register for the general election in November. The last day to register to vote for the general election in Laughlin is Friday, Oct. 5. Voter registration continues through Oct. 18 if registering online.
For the general election, voters can go to the U.S. Post Office, 2850 Needles Highway, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to register.
The American Legion will host more voter registration on Tuesdays, June 19 and 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Voters can go to the Plaza on Wednesdays, July 18 and 25 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Aldape’s is offering additional opportunities to register on Thursdays, Aug. 16, 23 and 30 from 3 to 8 p.m.
Laughlin Library will offer several chances to register for the general election on Fridays, 7, 14, 21 and 28 from open to close and on Friday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Voters can go to the library on Saturdays 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from open to close. The library is usually open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.
