Chamber to assist city in assuring complete census count

The Needles Chamber of Commerce will play an active roll in the 2020 Census, assisting the city of Needles in completing the requirements for counting its citizens. The U.S. Constitution requires the federal government to count the number of citizens every 10 years. The count determines, among other things, funding levels for programs and apportionments for political office including the U.S. House of Representatives.
