Children shop with a first responder

Deputies from Needles’ Colorado River Station of the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department hosts a ‘Shop with a First Responder’ event for Needles youth on Dec. 8. The local effort was sponsored by the San Bernardino County Employees Benefit Association. With Santa’s helpers from the Sunrise Rotary Club of Fort Mohave, Valley View Medical Center, fire and police departments from Bullhead City and Mohave Valley, and donors including BHHS Legacy Foundation, VVMC and Walmart, the local deputies accompanied youngsters on a Christmas shopping trip to the Fort Mohave Walmart store. “Great group of kids and a wonderful day giving back to the community,” CRS officials commented. See Rodd Cayton’s article in the Dec. 9 edition of the Mohave Valley Daily News for more details.
