Daniel Solomon commissioned as Army finance officer

Second Lt. Daniel X. Solomon, son of long-time Needles residents Barry and Susan Solomon, is congratulated on his commissioning as a finance officer in the U.S. Army by his sister, U.S. Navy Petty Officer Louise Solomon, who offered his first salute as a new officer; and uncle Stanley E. Mathews (r), former Chief Warrant Officer and Vietnam-era helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, who presented the commissioning oath in ceremonies held May 10, 2019, in Flagstaff, Ariz. Honorably discharged after four years in the Navy, Solomon joined the Army ROTC program at Northern Arizona University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science ACCY in accounting with a minor in military leadership. He continues his education at NAU, pursuing a Masters of Business Administration.
