Elks donation reinforces Red Ribbon Week theme

BPO Elks Lodge 1608 donates dictionaries to Vista Colorado Elementary School’s third grade, coloring books to kindergarten and ‘Character Matters’ pencils to grades one through four in commemoration of Red Ribbon Week. Observed each October, Red Ribbon Week is a campaign for awareness and prevention of damage to lives from alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and violence. Pictured (l to r, front to back) are students Logan Shutts and Dennis Campos, teacher Jeff Plank, Elks Leading Knight Bill Warner, teacher Rob McMahon and Elks Secretary Adela Owensby.
