Firehouse Ministries distributes Thanksgiving dinners

Pastor James Jones of Firehouse Ministries in Needles prepares to pitch in unloading a truck full of Thanksgiving cheer: 145 meals including turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, vegetables, cranberries and more from the lot next to the old Frontier Telecommunications office at Broadway and F Street on Nov. 26. Sponsors, Jones said, were the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin and the Mohave Valley Safeway. Plans call for a similar gift of food for families in need at Christmas. Recipients can sign up for the meals during Firehouse’s free Thursday food distributions held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pacific Time at the church, 809 Bush St. in Needles. Call 760-443-4342 for details.
