Head Start students celebrate end of school year

Head Start students celebrate the end of their school year, gathering for photos in classrooms at Katie Hohstadt Elementary School at Cibola and D Street. Many will move on to kindergarten, some will return to further Head Start classes as the program now accepts children too young to attend regular classes after a single year. Have a student to enroll? Contact Pam Motes, generalist for the Head Start program, at 760-326-5221 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays. Note: None of the students are pictured in order. Teacher Jennifer Proffitt (r) and Aide Connie Pharr’s class of 2019 include Valentina-Marie Beach, Kyndal Diaz, London Doria, Liam Giersch, Aliana Lopez, Penelope Meadows, Kason Passic, Katin Phillips, Brent Rapp, Natalee Rodriguez, Sofia Rodriguez-Lyon, Ellianna Russell, Maxton Souter, Cyrus Tapia and Darius White.
