How will they look in pie?

The Needles Aquatic Center is open for business and these lifeguards are trained to keep everyone having a safe and fun time at the local pool. Pictured (l to r, front to back) is Cali Zahnter, Ashley Garrison, Ally Pletcher, Ivy Stone, Kyle Horne, Frankie Garcia, Tyler Weiss, Gabriel Belt, Ivan Harris, Cole Russell, Jase Harris and George DeLeon. The center hosts the traditional Independence Day celebration, including the coronation of Miss Freedom and Mr. Firecracker, from noon to 4 p.m. July 4. More details are found on pages 1 and 4 of today’s edition but one of the many family games is ‘pie the lifeguard.’ BPO Elks Lodge 1608 is picking up the entry tab for the event so everyone gets in free. The aquatic center is along J Street and can be contacted at 760-326-3866.
