NEEDLES — Needles High School Mustangs extended their undefeated streak tonight (Oct. 6) against Lake Mead Christian High School Eagles by winning 34-3 on Branigan field. It was a pink-out game so most of the Mustangs’ fans were wearing pink to bring awareness to breast cancer.

In the first quarter the Eagles were able to recover a muffed punt by the Mustangs and took advantage of that opportunity by scoring the field goal.

After the Mustangs regained their composer they dominate in all facets of the game which led to the blowout win.

Marcus Turner had himself a game carrying the ball 11 times and rushing about 160 yards with three touchdowns to add to his great night. The stingy Mustang defense was on total display in front of their home crowed and managed to get a couple of interceptions during the game.

Next up is the homecoming game for the Mustangs against the Lincoln County Lynx on Branigan field starting at 4 for JV and 7 p.m for varsity.
