Beautiful weather for a car and boat show. Sunny skies, temps in the low-to-mid 60s, calm winds become north northeast to around 6 mph in the morning. Overnight: Mostly clear, lows in the mid 40s, winds calm. Saturday will be repeat with slightly warmer temperatures.

Ninth annual Route 66 Hot Boat and Custom Car Show returns to Needles’ Jack Smith Park.

The ninth annual Route 66 Hot Boat and Custom Car Show tees up with the traditional tournament on River’s Edge Golf Course. Check in begins at 7 a.m.

The Bureau of Land Management hosts a poker run on old Route 66 through the Mojave Desert during the ninth annual Route 66 Hot Boat and Custom Car Show. Join up at outside the chamber of commerce building at Front and G streets.

Free parking for the 9th annual Route 66 Hot Boat and Custom Car Show will be available in the lot adjacent Juicy’s Famous River Cafe on Needles Highway. A free shuttle will transport spectators to and from the show at Jack Smith Park from 3 to 7 p.m.
