BULLHEAD CITY — Bullhead City animal care and welfare officers are seeking a dog and its owner for standard quarantine procedures after a woman reported being bitten.

At about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, the 47-year-old victim reported that as she was running with her dog near Colorado Boulevard and Tanglewood Lane, a stray dog bit on her hand.

The animal came up behind the victim, who had to fight the dog off.. Her own dog was not injured, police said.

The dog is described as a large pit bull, blue (a dark gray) in color with one white paw. Animal care officers patrolled the area after the incident, but were unable to locate the dog.

Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the dog or its owner is asked to call the Bureau of Animal Care and Welfare at 928-763-6000.
