KINGMAN — The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comments for two right-of-ways to the Moss Mine near Bullhead City.

BLM received two applications for 25-year right-of-ways from Golden Vertex Corp., which operates the mine. BLM is preparing an Environmental Assessment, which includes any issues or potential impacts that could result from the right-of-ways.

One application is for a right-of-way to build and operate a 24.9-

kilovolt overhead electrical distribution line for about seven miles along Silver Creek Road from eastern Bullhead City to Moss Mine. The line would be used to power mining operations at the mine

The second application is for a right-of-way to widen and maintain an existing dirt road from Silver Creek Road to the mine. The road, used by mine employees, is about 1.2 miles long and would be widened from 13 to 24 feet.

The public comment period will end Feb. 26. A description of the project can be found on BLM’s website at https://go.usa.gov/xnyHV.

Comments can be emailed to blm_az_kfoweb@blm.gov. Include Golden Vertex Corp. EA in the subject line of the e-mail. Comments also can be mailed to the BLM Kingman office at 2755 Mission Blvd., Kingman, AZ, 86401 or sent by fax at 928-718-3761.
