Laughlin Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jackie Mazzeo presents the Bullhead City Elementary and Colorado River Union High School districts their share of proceeds from this summer’s third annual Freedom of Expression fundraiser for the arts in area schools. CRUHSD will use its $525 to help repair a kiln at River Valley High School and purchase musical instruments at Mohave High School. BCESD has designated its $750 for student art at a planned central gathering place on the Fox Creek Junior High campus, as well as musical instruments there. From left are CRUHSD Supt. Todd Flora, Mazzeo (and Chamber mascot Gracie), BCESD Supt. Carolyn Stewart and Fox Creek Assistant Principal Les Eastman. The next Freedom of Expression is scheduled for July 2020.
