TERRI HARBER/The Daily News

Bullhead City Vice Mayor Annette Wegmann presented three awards given to the city to David Heath, the city’s Parks and Recreation superintendent, during Tuesday’s city council meeting. Two were related to accomplishments in sports tourism: One each for outstanding accomplishments in event planning and economic impact related to hosting of the Bullhead City/Laughlin Senior Games and the American Youth Soccer Organization Region 397 Colorado River Youth Invitational Tournament. These were awarded by Sports Destination Management, a trade publication for sports event organizers. The third award recognized Rotary Park for “outstanding contributions, dedication and support of the National Softball Association.”
