Fatal motorcycle accident

A motorcyclist was killed after apparently slamming into the back of a sport-utility vehicle Friday night on Highway 95 in Bullhead City. The accident occurred around 10:45 p.m. A Bullhead City Fire Department medical unit, en route to an injury accident, encountered the motorcycle-vehicle accident just south of Retail Way on Highway 95 near the Bullhead City Walmart store. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire department unit said the motorcycle had burst into flames after apparently running into the rear of a Jeep. Engine 751, which was accompanying Medic 751 to the accident call on Newberry Road, put out the fire while the medical crew assisted the occupants of the Jeep. One person was taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center with what were described as minor injuries. The fire department units cleared the scene, continuing on to join other units at the Newberry accident call, and the scene was turned over to the Bullhead City Police Department for further investigation. No other information was available Saturday.
