Lightning ignites tree

Bullhead City firefighters douse a palm tree that caught fire after it was struck by lightning Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Roadrunner and Langford drives. Storms dumped about an inch of rain on the Tri-state with lightning causing reported power outages on both sides of the Colorado River. More rain is expected today; the Tri-state remains under a flash flood watch until 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
