KINGMAN — Mohave County is looking for a company to maintain the television translators in remote areas of the county.
The county is going out for bids for a company to provide 24-hour maintenance of the television translators and microwave links at 12 remote television translator sites. The sites provide over-the-air television from Phoenix, Las Vegas, Kingman and Prescott television stations. There are six Phoenix stations available for the Katherine Landing area and seven stations for Oatman.
The county is going out for bids to provide printing and mailing services for the treasurer’s office. The office provides tax notices, tax lien notices and delinquent tax notices to property owners. State law requires that tax lien and delinquent tax notices be sent to property owners but not general tax notices. The county sent out about 230,000 property tax notices, about 46,580 delinquent tax notices and 30,019 tax lien notices for the 2011-12 tax year.
The county is looking at a single bidder, G & G Specialty Contractors Inc. of Phoenix, to install security equipment in the county attorney’s office and the administration building. Before the board of supervisors is whether to award a contract to G & G Specialty Contractors for a total project cost up to $71,700.
Mohave County is also looking at three construction companies, including H & H Developments Inc. of Kingman along with two Phoenix area firms, to demolish the Cerbat Justice Court auxiliary building. The bids range from $48,600 to $64,350 with the project taking about two months to complete. Also on today’s board of supervisor agenda is whether to award a contract to D & K Enterprises LLC of Mesa for $48,600.
