Pedestrian killed near Davis Camp

Bullhead City Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Highway 68, between the Laughlin Bridge and the entrance to Davis Camp. According to preliminary reports, the man, who has not been identified publicly, stepped into the roadway and was struck shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No citations were issued. Both northbound lanes of Highway 68 were closed as emergency personnel worked the scene. Northbound traffic remained open using the center turn lane. Police said several vehicles went through the accident scene at unsafe speeds, putting first responders at risk. No additional information was available Tuesday night.
