A woman was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and on an unrelated warrant after being involved in a head-on vehicle collision near the intersection of Highway 95 and Courtwright Road in Mohave Valley, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. The unidentified woman’s vehicle had rolled over as a result of the crash and was on the side of the road with its wheels facing upward as emergency crews arrived. The Mohave Valley Fire Department reported she was found hanging upside down, still wearing her seat belt. The woman refused medical treatment and was taken away in handcuffs by law enforcement. Someone from the SUV that remained upright in the roadway was taken from the scene for medical treatment, DPS troopers said at the scene. Personnel from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Arizona Department of Transportation were among other agencies that responded to the accident. Southbound traffic was diverted around the accident scene into one of the northbound lanes as authorities investigated the incident.
